My open water dive course with The Dive Company Singapore was excellent and a really good kick start for the new leisure activity I'm going to try in my life. The class room session and Pool/ open water sessions was quite interesting and the instructor Rafi is a patient and well knowledgeable guy that teach you the lessons and techniques in a simple way that you don't forget in your life time. Easy to forget what you learn from books and always you remember the things you heard/learnt through an example or tips, that's the way Rafi teaches.

Completed our PADI open water in Tioman, trip was well organized, as a diving weekend the accommodation and food exceeded my expectations. I have the greatest confidence in Rafi, Owen and Andrew they were supportive in their teaching. There ensured safety which enabled an excellent diving experience. The team are friendly and welcoming everyone is encouraged to relax and chat together in the evenings. I would highly recommend TDC, after a few more dives we’ll be looking to book our PADI Advance Open Water with TDC 😃

Having heard all the negative about the risks of diving, I was of course apprehensive about it but it is something I want to do.


Rafi was awesome in his instructions and briefing, he has an amazing way to calm you down. I learned a lot during the Open Waters certification session, and now a card carrying citizen of the whole new of underwater world of scuba exploration! A special shout out to Daniel, our Dive Master, who labored throughout the 2-days of diving. Am excited to continue learn & explore this amazing new world.

I graduated from the Open Water and just recently Advanced OW with The Dive Company at Tioman. The last trip with Owen and Andrew was great. We had small group of 9 people, things were smooth and fun. The instructors were knowledgeable about the Tioman dive sites, and had healthy balance of being chilled and serious 😃. The Dive Company seems to be great diving community brought together by Rafi.

When your 11-year-old child has a passion for diving, trust only The Dive Company because their Dive Masters & Instructors are a cut above the rest! Abang Rafi and Abang Nizlan (as we affectionately call them) were friendly, supportive, and encouraging who took great care when giving dive briefings and ensure that corners were not compromised when it came to safety. Shout out to Instructor Jin as well, when teaching, she evaluated every new diver's ability and instructed with such patience and build confidence in the students to prepare them for their open water dives. We could not have been in better hands, thank you The Dive Company.

I chooses TDC because of the great review and here i am to leave an excellent review because instructor, Rafi, managed to make me overcome my phobia of deep water and low visibility. Learning new things can be scary, but through the course... everything went so smoothly, even the weather! Honestly, i wouldn't be able to attain the Open Water Diver certification if its without Rafi's calm and professional teachings. Definitely recommended !!! At the end.... i was amazed at how fun the open water course is, couldn't bear to finish that last dive

If there were 10 stars, I'd give Rafi and TDC 10. I had only done 4-5 discovery dives many years ago before I finally plucked up the courage to do my OW certification. Right from contacting Rafi, I received a stream of e-learning materials, emails, and instructions, following which I did my confined water training in a swimming pool and 4 OW dives at Pulau Hantu. Rafi's teaching was clear, kind, structured, and complete. I felt 100% at ease just because of how confident he made me feel, and helped me get the basic equipment I needed (a Velcro/neoprene strap for my mask) to address the only issue I faced (my hair being tangled in the strap of my mask). Despite the low visibility and strong currents in Singapore's waters, I always felt safe and at ease. I went on to do my AOW course with Rafi and have done almost 20 dives in the last 2 months. Rafi is a great vibe personified, he is kind, compassionate, and friendly to everyone he encounters, and he imbibes the spirit of the ocean through and through. There is no one else I'd recommend to learn diving from, and I'd happily dive every dive with him and his team forever and a day
