  • Changes in any course schedule dates by said participant has to be 14 days in advance, otherwise, Full cancellation charges shall be borne by the participant.

    No refund will be given for cancellation of Weekend Dive Trips within 14 days prior to departure date.

    All cancellations or postponements need to be made in writing or email, charges will apply.

  • Minimum age to obtain a certificate is 10 years old. However you can start experiencing as young as 8!

  • Yes – just remember to bring your certification card or a photo of the front and back of the card on your smartphone, or show us your e-card. Where the agency does not issue a card, please ensure you bring your logbook for verification.

  • If you hold a PADI certification we can usually look you up on the PADI database. If you hold a certification with another body, such as SSI, NAUI, TDI, CMAS, BSAC, etc, then you will need to provide your logbook and complete a liability disclaimer form – please let us know when you book

  • Yes of course! They can join us a non diver. Prices and rates applies.

  • Although, the local rules does not requires you to have a mandatory insurance, We strongly recommend that you apply for travel insurance. Accidents do happen. This is unrelated to diving. Just like you travel to another country for tourism, there may be cases of flight cancellation, missing of flight or lost baggage. Travel and dive insurances are not included in your fees.

  • As our cancellation policies, if it occurs 14 days prior to the activity we will be able to help to reschedule. However if within, there will not be any refunds. For leisure trips you can look for a replacement however do check with us first, for courses there will be no replacements.

  • No, a basic swimming knowledge is sufficient. More importantly, you should be comfortable in the water.

  • As for many other things, you usually get what you pay for. Different dive centers have different priorities in terms of instructor-to-student ratios, service quality, equipment, dive trip logistics like accommodations and mode of transport to the island and back.
    If in doubt, we suggest you pay a visit to the dive centers you've pre-selected, it will help you in your decision.

  • Yes, you can scuba dive. You will either need to wear contact lenses or procure a dive mask equipped with prescription lenses.

  • You need to be of "normal" health, but certain physical impairments do not prevent you from passing a diving certification. Upon registration, a brief medical questionnaire will help you assess if you can dive.

  • No, dive equipment rental is provided as part of the open water course and included in the course price. But if you have your own gear, do bring them along.

Advanced Open Water FAQ

  • If you feel your diving skills are a bit "rusty", we recommend you take the scuba refresher if you have not dive for more than 6 months. A pool session to review diving basic skills would be very useful for you.

  • There is no need to wait prior to taking the advanced open water. Once you're open water certified you can directly take the advanced open water course. We would advise that you ask your certifying instructor for his/her opinion before proceeding

  • No, there is very limited study. The advanced open water course is a practical training where we primarily focus on experiencing new diving conditions & environments.

  • Many advanced open water students own some of the basic dive gears. Besides, we offer attractive discounts on dive gear purchases to our students. So buying vs. renting becomes a personal choice!

  • Yes, you can combine the Nitrox specialty with the advanced open water course.

Rescue Diver FAQs

  • The Dive Company conducts the EFR course. We actually offer a special discount if you take both EFR and Rescue with us. Check out our EFR course page.

  • There is no need to take an EFR course provided you have been first aid certified in the past 24 months by a qualifying agency (e.g. red cross, etc...). But please check with us on your certification to see if its valid for the PADI Rescue Course

  • Many advanced open water students own some of the basic dive gears. Besides, we offer attractive discounts on dive gear purchases to our students. So buying vs. renting becomes a personal choice.
